FROM A MAP TO A TESTABLE BUSINESS QUESTION

Find the need.
Then qualify the opportunity.

You do not need a complete world model to begin. Start with a verified project trigger, identify a plausible service gap, establish who buys, and test demand and delivery economics. These are research hypotheses, not qualified sales leads.

01 · WHERE + WHEN

Choose a corridor and a construction, opening or service-change milestone. Map the supporting projects.

02 · WHO + WHAT

Identify the responsible owner, contractor or operator and a specific passenger or workforce movement problem.

03 · PROVE THE GAP

Check incumbent contracts, shifts, origins, demand, permits, accessibility and the actual buying route.

04 · SMALL TEST

Build a measured route/service case. Export a research brief before moving a qualified finding into your existing commercial workflow.

Use the map to ask better questions. Nearby airports, factories and rail stations suggest connections to investigate. They do not establish a feasible route, spare capacity or a customer. Public construction awards and funding announcements are not open service contracts.

ILLUSTRATIVE DEMAND WORKSHEET

Translate a possible need into a measurable test.

Change the assumptions below. These values are not imported project facts and are not saved. One outbound and one return trip are assumed for each rider.

ORGANIZATIONS & PUBLIC LEADERSHIP

Follow the business.
Verify who buys.

Official websites, public leadership and project links from the researched cases. An executive title does not establish transportation purchasing authority. Company coverage is selective; role dates and source limits remain visible.

EVIDENCE & EXPANSION

A map is only as good
as its sources.

Project evidence is loaded into this pilot. Some public inventories are loaded; other catalog entries are an expansion roadmap. Inventory totals count source observations. Confirmed data-center duplicates are grouped in the explorer; all observations and unresolved candidates remain inspectable.

Community discovery layer: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0 · Download source GeoJSON · Download normalized OSM records. This layer remains separate from operator and government source inventories.

Coverage benchmark: Data Center Map showed 5,082 U.S. and 112 Florida listings on Nov 6. Definitions differ; this is not a coverage percentage or an imported directory.

A DECISION TOOL, BUILT ON EVIDENCE

Explore connections.
Keep the uncertainty.

Choose U.S. or Global, then drill into country, state, locality, company, sector and project stage. Regional network layers remain available where loaded.

01

What this prototype does

A true 3D globe and 2D map with five independently selectable sectors, project and technology filters, company search, source inspection, comparison, geographic proximity and GeoJSON export.

Dots are approximate locations. They are not building footprints, mine boundaries or construction layouts. Evidence dates and source qualifications stay attached to each record.

02

What a line means

Solid green relationship lines indicate a sourced commercial or supply association. They do not trace power lines, freight lanes, pipelines or road routes.

The separate South Florida rail and NHS highway layers are actual public network geometry. Port boundaries are statistical port limits, not terminal site plans. Neither a nearby railroad nor a nearby power plant proves access, capacity, demand or a contract.

03

Status is an assertion

“Operating” and “under construction” reflect the cited source and its date. An old target date does not establish completion. Funding announcements are not treated as closed financing.

Older or undated evidence is flagged. Phase expansions are described separately from existing capacity. Closure and restart possibilities remain explicit.

04

Where opportunities begin

For drvn: identify a buyer with an unmet workforce, visitor or passenger movement need, an accessible procurement path, an operating partner and enough demand.

Freight, mining, port operations and autonomous transport are adjacent hypotheses; service fit, authority, safety and economics need separate qualification.

05

What comes next

EIA generator groups, USGS mineral records and selected NTAD networks are loaded. Next add interconnection queues and DOT project programs. Add dated permits, procurement notices and company filings as claim-level evidence.

Review conflicting changes before changing lifecycle status. Confirmed data-center matches are grouped with an audit trail. Review unresolved pairs, track freshness and establish access controls before a recurring feed.

06

The boundary of this pilot

This combines national and global source inventories with selected project dossiers. It is not a comprehensive infrastructure census or a live news service. No complete subcontractor directory, verified parcel suitability, utility spare-capacity model or demand forecast is included.

Private datasets and subscription feeds are outside the current scope. Procurement sources require checking addenda and deadlines before action.
